Terms of Service

By accessing or using Cutizy, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

Cutizy is an online service with a free plan and a paid Pro plan. It offers:

• Video trimming & downloading: trim and download clips, as video (MP4) or audio (MP3, M4A), from public videos on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, Vimeo, Reddit and Twitch.
• Thumbnail downloading: preview and download the thumbnail of a video from a supported platform.
• Video editor: combine your own videos, audio and photos with your clips, add text, stickers and effects, and export the result. Anyone can try the editor; importing files requires an account, and exporting requires a Pro subscription.

Which platforms are available can change: a platform may be switched off for a while, or offered to Pro subscribers only, and a platform can block individual downloads, so we cannot guarantee that a given video can be downloaded. A download that fails does not use your daily allowance.

Some pages show ads served by Google AdSense. Ads come from third parties: we do not choose or endorse the products and services they promote. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

• You can use the clip trimmer and thumbnail downloader without an account, within the limits below. You can create an account with Google or with an email address and password.
• If you sign up with an email address, you must verify it to keep downloading clips after your first one.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use Cutizy, and old enough to consent to the processing of your personal data where you live.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
• You must provide accurate information and may not create accounts to get around limits or a suspension.

Clip trimmer

• Without an account: clips up to 3 minutes, up to 720p, MP4 or MP3, 9 minutes per day, one clip in progress at a time. Files are available for 1 hour.
• Free account: clips up to 5 minutes, up to 720p, MP4 or MP3, 15 minutes per day, two clips in progress at a time. Files are available for 12 hours.
• Pro: clips up to 60 minutes, up to 4K where the source allows it, MP4, MP3 or M4A, 6 hours per day, priority processing and no per-user limit on clips in progress. Files are available for 24 hours.

Clips must be at least 5 seconds long. Daily limits count the total duration of your clips and reset at midnight. Download your files before they expire; we do not keep copies.

Video editor

• Imported files up to 250 MB each, 20 files and 1 GB in your media library, 40 clips on 8 layers, and projects up to 10 minutes long.
• Exports as MP4 up to 1080p, or as MP3 or M4A audio. Finished exports are available for 24 hours.
• Your projects and the files you import from your device are saved in your browser. Clearing your browser data deletes them; use the project file download to keep a copy. Clips you add from your downloads or from a video link are copied to your media library on our servers and deleted 7 days after they are added, even if you use them in a project.

Availability

• The quality you receive depends on the source video. A video may be unavailable because of its platform's restrictions, and we may temporarily disable a platform.
• When the service is busy, new clips may be refused until capacity is available, including for Pro subscribers.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may take the service down for maintenance.

Billing and renewal

Pro is a monthly subscription. The price is shown on our pricing page and at checkout before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each month, and you authorize us to charge your payment method at each renewal until you cancel.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from your account page through the Stripe billing portal. Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, then your account returns to the free plan. You must cancel an active subscription before you can delete your account.

Refunds

Except where required by law, payments are not refunded, including for partially used billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will review your request.

Failed payments and price changes

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it and Pro stays active while it does. If payment is not received, your subscription ends and your account returns to the free plan. We may change the price of Pro; a new price applies from your next renewal after we notify you, and you can cancel before then.

Donations

Donations are voluntary one-time payments made through Stripe to support Cutizy. They do not unlock Pro or any other feature.

When using our service, you agree to:

• Only download videos, audio and thumbnails that you have the right to access and use
• Only import media into the video editor that you own or have permission to use
• Respect copyright and intellectual property rights
• Not use our service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Not attempt to circumvent any security measures, usage limits or access restrictions
• Not use our service to download content in violation of the terms of the platform it comes from

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the content you download or create (video clips, audio, thumbnails and editor exports) complies with applicable copyright laws. Cutizy does not claim ownership of any content you process through our service, and we do not add watermarks to it.

The Cutizy name, logo and service are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding without permission.

You agree not to:

• Resell, rent or redistribute access to our service, or build a competing service on top of it
• Distribute copyrighted content without permission
• Upload, post or transmit any malicious code or content
• Interfere with or disrupt our service or servers
• Use bots, scripts or other automated tools to access our service
• Use the thumbnail downloader for mass scraping of images

Our service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• The results obtained will be accurate or reliable
• All video platforms or links will be supported at all times
• Any errors will be corrected

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cutizy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use our service, including the loss of clips, editor projects or media stored in your browser. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Our service interacts with video platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, Vimeo, Reddit and Twitch. Your use of content from these platforms is subject to their respective terms of service. Payments are handled by Stripe and sign-in with Google by Google, under their own terms. We are not responsible for any third-party content or services.

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any feature of our service (including clip trimming, thumbnail downloading, the video editor, plan limits or platform support) at any time. We may also update these Terms of Service; we will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

You may stop using Cutizy and delete your account at any time from your account page. If you have an active Pro subscription, cancel it first.

We may suspend or terminate your access to our service, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms or misuse the service.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the law of the country where you live.
